Green growth A-Team

The establishment of a top team on climate change, energy conservation and pollutant discharge reduction led by Premier Wen Jiabao marks China's latest step in pursuing green goals.

This move clearly demonstrates the determination of the Chinese leadership to bring down the environmental and resource cost of the country's economic growth.

China has made it a national priority to cut energy use 20 percent and major pollutant emissions 10 percent per unit of GDP between 2006 and 2010.
