GUANGZHOU: Poly Real Estate Group Co Ltd, one of the nation's top five
property developers, has kick-started its strategy to develop more commercial
property projects.
Besides Poly International Plaza in Guangzhou that has recently been put into
use, the real estate giant is beefing up the development of commercial property
projects in Foshan's Nanhai District and in Guangzhou city, while seeking
opportunities to develop similar projects in the nation's big cities including
Beijing and Shanghai.
"The popularity of Poly International Plaza has increased confidence in our
strategy to increase the percentage of commercial property projects in our
future business development," said Hu Zaixin, assistant to general manager of
Poly Real Estate Group Co Ltd, one of the top five real estate developers in
2006.
Thanks to the outstanding architectural design,
eye-catching scenery, superb infrastructure, ecological environment for office
work, excellent property management services and favorable geographical
location, Poly International Plaza has been selling like hot cakes.
"About 70 percent of our clients have bought the whole floors or even several
floors for their regional headquarters; and most of them are European, American,
and Southeast Asian multinationals in finance, trade, real estate and
advertising sectors."
He said the architectural design of the globally renowned SOM, the landscape
design of the equally reputed SWA Group and the state-of-the-art infrastructure
ranging from the air-conditioning, e-office system and internal safety
monitoring to the intelligent elevators have combined to make the commercial
property stand out from other office property projects.
The excellent geographical location, convenient traffic network and the
experienced property management team have also helped to win the hearts of the
occupants.
Located in Guangzhou's Pazhou, just next to the Guangzhou International
Convention and Exhibition Center, the project benefits handsomely from the
business opportunities of the China Import and Export Fair, China's largest and
most important trade fair held twice a year, as well as other international
exhibitions held all year round.
The Pearl River, on which the project is built, endows Poly International
Plaza with unrivalled water scenery.
"We have been learning from the successful story of Poly International
Plaza," he said.
"We are planning to involve ourselves more in office property projects as
well as other commercial property projects in Guangzhou, other Pearl River Delta
cities and even in other big cities in the country."
New projects
He said four to five more commercial property projects will be developed in
GuangZhou soon.
According to Song Guangju, general manager of Poly Real Estate Group Co Ltd,
the company will increase the investment in commercial property projects to
account for 30 percent of its total investments by 2012 and a variety of
financing tools will be used for the ambitious expansion.
