Save our soil

The State Environmental Protection Administration (SEPA) announced that it will convene a national meeting on preventing soil pollution this year. This follows the SEPA initiated national investigation into soil pollution started last July.
Soil is the most fundamental element of the ecosystem, a basic resource for human existence and a final resting place for pollutants. Heavy metals, floating airborne particles, pollutants from solid waste and sewage most finally find their way into the soil.
These pollutants enter our bodies through the water we drink, the air we inhale and the food we eat. Our bodies' outer layer of protection, our skin, may absorb pollutants from the air.
