Masterworks
The Yanhuang Art Museum is holding an exhibition of Chinese ink paintings, which runs until tomorrow in northern Beijing.
Some 120 works by more than 100 veteran Chinese painters of landscape, figure, and birds-and-flowers paintings are on display.
Co-organized by the Chinese Artists Association and the museum, the exhibition features some of the most prominent artists in China: Long Rui, figure ink painter and Chinese Artists Association vice-chair; Liu Dawei, landscape painter and head of China National Academy of Ink Painting; and Sun Qifeng (whose work Eagle is pictured), veteran bird and flower painter from Tianjin.
A seminar on traditional Chinese ink painting was held over the weekends at the museum, drawing some 100 scholars and artists from across the country.
