Songs from the South
"Songs from the South of the Clouds Soprano Ouyang Limei's Solo Concert" will be held in Beijing's Poly Theater on April 18.
This is the second concert of "Songs from the South of the Clouds", a series to present singers from Southwest China's Yunnan Province. The first one was by He Shu, another soprano from Yunnan.
Ouyang is a singer of the Yi minority. Her concert in Beijing will focus on songs from Yunnan, including Yi folk songs such as Torches from the Torch Festival and Moon at the Honghe River, as well as other Yunnan folk songs such as Tune of Cutting Firewood.
