Sexpert wants naked husband to be stripped from show
Li Yinhe, a noted sexologist, has demanded that organizers of the Shanghai International Sculpture Exhibition to be held at the end of the month, take down a naked sculpture of her late husband Wang Xiaobo, a reputed writer.
Recently, pictures of the sculpture, created by Zheng Min from the Guangzhou Fine Arts College, were released on the Internet and sparked a huge controversy.
Zheng had planned to exhibit his work to mark the 10th anniversary of the writer's death.
Li, 55, also a professor at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, had agreed with the show, according to Zheng.
But since Wang's families were strongly opposed to it, Li wrote to the organizers demanding that the sculpture be withdrawn. This is reportedly being complied with.
