Sentences of 29 women prisoners commuted

The sentences of 29 female prisoners from Beijing were commuted on Thursday, International Women's Day, and four other inmates were released on parole for their good behavior.

Prison authorities allowed the four to go home immediately. "Every year on Women's Day, we announce a similar decision to women prisoners who have served their sentences well," a judge surnamed Sun said.
