Who's in
Watt's behind the bulge?
Naomi Watts is expecting. News of the Australian actress' pregnancy was released on Sunday by fashion-design firm Escada, which created the yellow gown Watts wore to the Academy Awards.
The dress "set off her most precious new asset, the baby she is expecting with long time boyfriend Liev Schreiber," the company's press release read.
Schreiber confirmed the news on Late Night with Conan O'Brien on Monday, saying, "Yes, I'm going to be a dad."
Watts, 38, and Schreiber, 39, co-starred in last year's The Painted Veil. He's currently in rehearsals for a Broadway production of Talk Radio, slated to open March 11th.
Celebrity duo to roll out The Long Play
Oscar-winning director Martin Scorsese is joining forces with Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger to make a movie spanning three decades in the music business.
Scorsese, 64, who on Sunday won the best director Oscar for The Departed, will direct The Long Play and work with Jagger and the British rocker's business partner Victoria Pearman to produce the film, Paramount Pictures said on Tuesday.
The Viacom Inc-owned studio said in a statement that Jagger came up with the idea for The Long Play several years ago. This is not the first time that Scorsese and Jagger, 63, have worked together. They recently collaborated on a feature length documentary about the Rolling Stones, which will be released in the fall.
Jail likely for Paris Hilton?
Paris Hilton could have her probation revoked possibly resulting in jail time if she is found to have been driving with a suspended license because it would violate conditions of her previous sentence for reckless driving, the authorities said on Wednesday.
The 26-year-old hotel heiress and star of The Simple Life was ticketed for misdemeanor driving with a suspended license after her blue Bentley Continental GTC was pulled over on Sunset Boulevard on Tuesday, Los Angeles County sheriff's Sergeant Duane Allen Jr. said.
Hilton could face up to 90 days in jail if a judge finds she violated her probation, said Nick Velasquez, a spokesman for the Los Angeles city attorney's office.
In January, Hilton pleaded no contest to alcohol-related reckless driving stemming from a September 7 arrest in Hollywood. She was sentenced to 36 months' probation, alcohol education and US$1,500 in fines.
US television in for a dash of Spice
As English soccer star David Beckham prepares to move to a new team in Los Angeles, his wife, former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham, also is eyeing a new career in television.
A spokesman for the couple said Victoria Beckham, who rose to fame as Posh Spice in the pop group The Spice Girls but has since struggled to revive her singing career, was interested in appearing in a new TV show.
"Major US networks are interested in a program idea developed by 19 Entertainment on Victoria but as of yet no announcement has been made," said the spokesman.
Reports that the 32-year-old singer and fashion designer was going to appear in a reality TV show based on her move to Los Angeles, were dismissed.
The couple will move to the United States in August when Beckham begins a five-year contract with the Los Angeles Galaxy soccer team in a deal worth $250 million.
The Beckhams are among Britain's most talked-about celebrity pairs but are lesser known in the US.
