Queue-jumping ingrained habit: Poll

By Wu Jiao | China Daily | Updated: 2007-02-12 06:51

Beijing's attempt to fight queue-jumping by launching a "Queuing Day" on the 11th of each month might not help much to fight such an ingrained habit, according to a recent survey.

An online survey by CCTV and qq.com, a popular website in China, found that 72.4 percent of 2,120 respondents said that the measure would not stop the behavior but it might help to raise awareness about public manners.

Only 19.3 percent said they believe the call would help to stop people cutting in line.
