Tourism changes cliff village life for the better

Mose Fu climbs the steep steel ladder with other villagers to go home to Atuleer village on Feb 3, 2017. Construction of the steel ladder with handrails was completed in November and cost one million yuan ($148,000). A tourism development company signed an agreement with the local government to turn the formerly inaccessible village into a tourist destination, which involves establishing a visitor center, a cableway to the cliff village, a path and bridge along the cliff, a path along Guli canyon and other facilities.
