China holds first disabilities winter-sports festival

Beijing's first barrier-free ski resort starts pilot operations on December 3, the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. Located northwest of the capital city in Yanqing, which will host events during the Winter Olympics in 2022, the resort features special lanes that allow skiers with physical impairments to enjoy the slopes. The barrier-free lanes, which will also be open to non-disabled skiers, will officially open to the public later December. [Photo/Sina Weibo account of CCTV News]
