The Ministry of Public Security has completed its mission to capture all 30 human traffickers on its wanted list with the capture of the last one, who was hiding in Nanyang, Central China’s Henan province on Monday, news.dahe.cn reported Tuesday.

Police had spent three years tracking down 26-year-old Wu Zhenglian, who was first captured in August 2008 for abducting and selling children in Southwest China’s Yunnan province. Wu, who gave birth to a baby, managed to escape from house arrest and had been at large ever since.

Police in Nanyang got a tip on Sunday that Wu had arrived in the city, and arrested her in a remote and hilly village on Monday. Wu had changed her name and married a local man.

On May 29, 2009, the Ministry of Public Security issued the first wanted list of 10 human traffickers, including Wu. The ministry issued information on another 20 on June 4, 2009, and Sept 27, 2010.

According to Nanyang police, Wu was a member of a human trafficking network. Deng Fei, of Phoenix Weekly magazine and Weibo celebrity, said Wu was involved in abducting and selling about 30 kids.

Deng posted a message on Weibo on May 29, in which he said, "If we find this woman, we will be able to find more abducted children... Besides reward from the police, we will collect 50,000 yuan as reward to anyone who provides helpful information to find her."

The message aroused wide attention and was forwarded more than 100,000 times.

Active in public affairs, Deng has been engaged in fighting child trafficking and finding abducted children since early this year. He also launched a project in April to help provide free lunches for poor children.
