Scaffold collapses in NW China city

XI'AN - Seven have been confirmed dead after scaffolding collapsed at a construction site in China's northwestern city of Xi'an early Saturday, rescuers said.
As of 12:00 am Saturday, five people buried under the collapsed scaffolding have been sent to the hospital.
The scaffolding of a 30-story building under construction fell down, burying twelve people.
The scaffolding chains from the 20th to 23rd floors broke, causing the collapse, rescuers speculated.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
