A pregnant wild deer is so hungry that it regularly sneaks into the backyard of a restaurant in Dalian, Liaoning province, to eat the food the chefs lay out for their watchdog.

"The deer has been eating all the dog food we have left out there for the past few weeks. I saw it again on Sunday with a heavy belly," Liu, a woman living nearby the restaurant, said. "I guess that it is very hungry since it is in the family way."

To help the mother deer, the cooks have been leaving extra food in the backyard. They hope it will deliver healthy offspring.
