A photo taken on Jan. 30 shows ice accumulate at the hydrometeorology observation station of Shapotou Water Control Project on the Yellow River in northwest China's Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. The frozen sections of the Yellow River had expanded to more than 1,100 km as temperatures remained very low in areas along the river. [Xinhua]
