A photo taken on Jan. 30 shows a frozen section of the Yellow River at the Shapotou Water Control Project area in northwest China's Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. The frozen sections of the Yellow River had expanded to more than 1,100 km as temperatures remained very low in areas along the river. [Xinhua]
