Dong Yongfa, 58, a resident of Xindu county, Sichuan province, is famous among his neighbors because of a horse he keeps.

The horse named Dashanyang is able to perform dressage steps at Dong's command. "That's not all. The horse can also disco dance and do other kinds of dances, Liu, a neighbor of Dong's, said.

Dong said he bought the horse for 1,000 yuan ($138) in 2003 and soon found that it could be trained to perform a number of tricks.
