Readers can now get the first glimpse of Tao Hong and Xu Zheng's new born baby, nicknamed 'Xu Xiaobao', online.

A netizen uploaded the latest photo of the mainland celebrity couple's baby girl late Wednesday. The photo shows the couple smiling while their newborn baby is sound asleep in her mother's arms.

Other snapshots present a simple yet amicable party for the new arrival with the hospital's nurses joining in the celebration.

The baby was born on December 30th in Beijing.

Mainland actors Xu Zheng and Tao Hong started their romance in 2000, after shooting "Chun Guang Can Lan Zhu Ba Jie", a hit TV sitcom based on a Chinese fiction story. Xu Zheng, who played the role of the "Pig Monster" (Zhu Baijie), rose to stardom after the TV series.

Netizens actively replied to the post, expressing their congratulations and good wishes for the newborn.

One netizen who might also be a loyal fan of Mr Xu wrote, actor Xu Zheng, who is capable of playing both bad guys and shady characters, should be considered the most popular male actor after celebrated Chinese mainland comedian actor Ge You. He believes Xu's acting style will earn him more chances on the big screen.

Other netizens gave the thumbs up for Tao Hong's latest portrayal as Chun Cao a countrywoman who went through a great deal of adversity and struggled to seek a better life for herself and her family. This TV sitcom "Chun Cao", or spring grass, which was broadcast on Beijing's local TV channel, was well received.

"I like this celebrity family. They keep a low profile unlike many others" said one netizen.
