Safety concerns
According to a Post Bureau prediction, 500 million packages will be delivered between Nov 12 and Nov 16, a 50 percent increase from 2013. Many local warehouses lack fire-fighting equipment, some of which are makeshift shacks. Last year, a fire caused by a spark from a deliver truck broke out in a warehouse in Hangzhou, destroying thousands of packages and damaging goods worth millions.
