BEIJING - The Ministry of Commerce said Tuesday that it has decided to scrap anti-dumping duties on abrasion-resistant paper imported from the US and EU effective on Tuesday.

The ministry has levied anti-dumping duties on imports of abrasion-resistant paper from the US and EU since Dec 13, 2006, the ministry said in a statement on its website.

On June 13, the ministry notified the domestic abrasion-resistant paper industry that the anti-dumping measures are due to expire on Dec. 13, adding that domestic companies may apply for a review within 60 days.

When the ministry received no review requests as of Tuesday, it decided to cease the anti-dumping duties, according to the statement.
