Chinese shares close lower Monday

BEIJING - Chinese stocks closed lower on Monday with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 1.02 percent, or 23.73 points, to 2,291.55.
The Shenzhen Component Index slid 1.1 percent, or 103.99 points, to 9,376.28.
