Every year, the professor and her students give concerts, and have performed in major cities.

“By taking on different roles, I’ve enhanced my understanding of characters. When I am able to master my emotions, my vocal technique also improves,” said Xiu Zihan, a doctoral student with dual master’s degrees from the China Conservatory of Music and the Manhattan School of Music.

She added that performing in China and overseas has deepened the students’ bond with their teacher.

An opera singer with 30 years’ experience, Han has been teaching at the China Conservatory of Music since 2013.
