Noting that China highly appreciates Cuba's firm support on issues related to China's core interests, Xi said that the nation will continue to support Cuba in defending national sovereignty, and opposing foreign interference and blockade, and provide support for Cuba's economic and social development.

Diaz-Canel said that the Cuba-China relationship has reached a historic high.
