National Energy Administration head under investigation

Head of the National Energy Administration is being investigated for suspected serious violations of Party disciplinary rules and laws, according to the top anti-graft agency Friday.

Nur Bekri, also deputy head of the National Development and Reform Commission, is being investigated by the Communist Party of China Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Supervisory Commission.

Nur Bekri, former chairman of the Xinjiang regional government, was named as the new head of the National Energy Administration on December 31, 2014.
