Chinsho Kinuyo, a Japanese student who majored in news media, shared her experience of attending a summer program organized by the Bai Xian Asia Institute (BXAI) in Taiwan from July 31 to Aug 16.
As Fudan's only winner of the BXAI Asian Future Scholarship in 2016, Kinuyo was delighted to get together with 116 other scholars from China, Japan and South Korea and participate in constructive dialogues, establishing mutual understanding and developing lifelong friendships.
She also had the opportunity to hear from and interact with renowned figures in the arts, sciences, politics, academia, non-profit and business. Their ideas and insights have inspired the Japanese woman to foster deeper learning about various important issues in East Asia.
Kinuyo cherishes the connections she has established with BXAI scholars, lecturers, students and university staff members.
"The program was very rewarding," she said.
