A lunchtime concert was staged at the Shanghai International Financial Center in Lujiazui Financial City, Shanghai's Pudong New Area, on March 2.

Seven pieces of music including Traci, Misty, and Chicken were played by the Shanghai Light Music Orchestra and gave the audience an experience of both popular and jazz music.

The Shanghai Light Music Orchestra, founded in 1986, is the oldest light music orchestra in China. Since its inception, it has involved many world-renowned musicians such as Zhu Fengbo, a soprano and founder of the orchestra, Tu Bahai, a composer and conductor, and Pu Qizhang, an electronic keyboard player.

The lunchtime concert, the joint effort of Lujiazui Financial City, the Lujiazui Buildings Association, and the Shanghai Light Music Orchestra, has become a regular cultural event in the area and certainly adds to the excitement of a weekday lunch.
