Authorities in Shanghai's Pudong New District plan to renovate the exercise path around the Century Park in Lujiazui, Pudong Times reported on May 24.

The ring road went operational about two years ago and has been a popular destination among local people wishing to exercise.

The transformation project is expected to create a better environment by adding more tracks for running or walking, building service facilities and adding more greenery.

Advanced technology including smart lighting and camera monitoring systems will be installed to make the environment safer and more comfortable.
