Shanghai's Guanfu Museum, related to Beijing's museum of the same name, which is one of China's most well-known repositories of art and culture, has become Shanghai's new cultural landmark.

The Shanghai museum, on the 37th floor of the Shanghai Tower, has five halls containing more than 500 artifacts, such as gold pieces, antique furniture, Buddhist statues and textiles and an especially impressive ceramic collection from the Song Dynasty (960-1279) presenting a picture of the ceramic arts from that period.

Outside the museum is the Baoku Art Center, which has a reproduction of ancient traditional Chinese garden and an "Olive Circle", designed by the Dutch architect Alfonso Wolbert. It also has a 480-square-meter ballroom with an enamel floor, which joined the Guinness World Records as the world's largest enamel hall, which took 321,681 hours of work by 134 craftsmen to complete.

The museum and the center are part of the Guanfu Baoku project, whose purpose is to show China's cultural legacy to the public.
