A yearlong event to highlight Jiading's enterprise culture will get underway in Jiading district's Waigang town on March 4, according to an announcement made by local authorities.

This is the first time for Jiading to launch such an event alongside a variety of activities for local workers to take part in throughout the seasons.

In spring, a cycling tour around Jiading, a photography competition to reveal the beauty of local enterprises, and a competition to select the most interesting local business stories will be held.

In summer, there will be a social networking event for young workers and an exhibition promoting local startups and innovations.

In autumn, there will be a relay race for employees from auto companies and a talent show for local workers, while in winter, a forum on corporate culture and development will be launched.

Activities focusing on corporate culture and protecting employee rights will also be held.

Gu Huiwen, head of Jiading's publicity department, said the events are a significant step to creating a good cultural environment and encouraging local enterprises to attach greater importance to corporate culture.

Gu urged local officials to work together to enrich the activities and to ensure the smooth implementation of the calendar.
