Jiading auto city holds concert to celebrate Chinese New Year

A music concert to welcome the upcoming Chinese Lunar New Year was held at the Shanghai International Automobile City in Anting town, Shanghai's Jiading district on Jan 15, local media reported.

The event received help from the Shanghai Chinese Orchestra and the Shanghai Auto Museum. It aimed to give local residents a taste of both modern and traditional arts and enable them to feel the happiness of the New Year.

The concert featured 10 folk songs. The audience enjoyed the mellow melody of piano and traditional Chinese plucked instruments as well as the cheerful and lively tune of percussion instruments.

The mysterious and elegant traditional dance was also a highlight of the event. It cheered up the audience and brought the festive atmosphere to a climax.

Notably, classical vintage cars also showed up on the stage to remind the audience of the old days.

Local authorities said that this concert enable local residents to enjoy a music feast. And they expected that such events will help promote modern and traditional arts among local residents and create a better cultural environment.
