Li Jinguo, an artist from Rizhao in Shandong province, created a series of dough sculptures for the upcoming Year of the Monkey based on the theme A Hundred Monkeys Embrace Spring Festival. As part of an intangible cultural heritage program, Li spent one month designing and two weeks making the artworks, using 5 kilograms of flour. The 100 vivid monkeys, made in various forms and expressions, symbolize a lucky and happy Year of the Monkey.
