Taiwan's foremost choreographer Lin Hwai-min brings his 1994 creation "Songs of the Wanderers" to Beijing.
Skillful dancers from Cloud Gate Dance Theatre directed by Lin will present two-day shows at the National Center for the Performing Arts on April 1 and 2.
"Songs of the Wanderers" is based on Lin's memory of his trip to Bodhgaya, India in the summer of 1994. It is a work about practicing asceticism, the river's mildness, and the quest for quietude.
A special prop for the drama is 3.5 tons of golden rice, which helps create a spectacular effect on stage.
The drama premiered in Taipei on November 4, 1994.
