The day I visited the Raj had great weather, so I could lay back and sit on the roof top and relax as well appreciate great food. This time I had a chance to talk with the manager Ken and his friend Isabel; they said that this restaurant has been open for 4 years.
Isabel told me that initially they just loved Indian culture and happened to meet another Indian chef and so started the Raj restaurant. I can’t say it’s very luxurious restaurant, but it’s comfortable enough to let you settle down and relax. You feel that you just arrived home. Some waiters are from India, so they will try their best to introduce you to the good food and serve you with a humble smile.
The waitress here are dressed in very pretty traditional clothes. As Isabel told me, sometimes they will play a Bollywood movie and live music and dance while holding a party.
