The Little Place of Guo

There was also Jiang jo hua, an exquisitely cut cold pork dish that literally melts-in-your-mouth, and finally Suan la wu yu dan tang, a popular Sichuan style spicy and sour soup, although unlike others I've tried the soup has the perfect consistency and with the right combination of spice and pepper.

With a capacity of maximum 30 people, this is one of Beijing's best-kept secrets. Its strength has been due to its peaceful surroundings, its strong word of mouth and the passion by its owner to maintain traditional Chinese culture through his restaurant.
