The Party authority in Jiangsu in East China has rolled out a 10-item regulation to address bureaucracy and improve the working style of senior officials, the Nanjing-based newspaper Modern Express reported on Friday.

The move is aimed at fully implementing an eight-point regulation adopted by China's core leadership on Dec 4 aimed at reforming the working style of governments.

The Jiangsu regulation stresses that each official of the provincial government should spend at least two months conducting surveys among the grassroots every year. They should also pay close attention to the behavior of their family members, relatives and subordinates.

The regulation also targets bureaucratic visits, meetings and talks, including extravagant treatment of leaders, unnecessary traffic controls and excess media exposure for leaders' trips.
