"Leshanzhongyi", which means happiness, goodness and loyalty, is a 600-year-old Qinqiang opera troupe originated in Gaotai county of northwestern China's Gansu province. It has 36 stage actors who are all local farmers. They usually give performances during traditional festivals.

The 72-year-old former ganger Sheng Shixiang and other troupers have been going to the school in Gaotai county to teach the students Qinqiang opera.

Qinqiang is a 2,000-year-old operatic genre originating in China's northwestern region. It has established a venerable tradition as a "shouted out opera" with its bold, resounding arias.
