Man burns self to death in south China

NANNING: A man died after setting himself ablaze on Monday outside a government gate in south China's Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, local authorities said.

The man, identified as Ruan Guangrui, a 49-year-old resident in Dongsun Community in Youjiang District, Baise city, burnt himself at about 4:20 pm at the gate of the district government, said the spokesman of the Baise Public Security Bureau.

The cause of the self-burning was still under investigation, the spokesman said.
