Man prefers bike to queuing for train tickets(China Daily)
Updated: 2007-09-26 09:02 A man who could not buy a train ticket in Beijing to go home for the National Day holiday, decided to take the journey on two wheels instead. Jiang Qingfeng plans to take eight or nine days to cover the 1,000 km from Beijing to his home in Dandong, Liaoning. "I tried many booking offices in Beijing a week ago but none of them had tickets during the holiday so I bought a bike instead," he said on Saturday at Tiananmen Square, where he set off. "In this way, I can go home and stay with my parents, without having to queue up for hours at the ticket office," he said. (Beijing Legal Times) |
