Yunnan's trade with ASEAN up 45% in 2010

Southwest China's Yunnan province generated $4.58 billion in trade with ASEAN members in 2010, up 45.2 percent year-on-year, the local customs house said on Saturday.

The trade volume, which accounted for 34.5 percent of the province's total foreign trade, included $2.9 billion of exports, up 38.1 percent year-on-year, and $1.68 billion of imports, up 59.3 percent.

Of the exports, $640 million were farm produce, up 53.8 percent from the previous year. The farm produce exports included $17.22 million of flowers, $11.97 million of tea, $510 million of vegetables, and $100 million of fruits.
