At UFC Shanghai this August, Song Yadong notched a career-defining win over No 3-ranked contender Umar Nurmagomedov with a pinpoint uppercut.
Pushing back on claims of a "lucky punch", Song stressed the finishing strike was a tactic drilled repeatedly ahead of the bout. He started martial arts training at age 9 and moved to the US alone at 19 to compete in the Octagon. Now, he is determined to show the world the strength of Chinese fighters in the UFC.
