Sino-US ties on the basketball court remain stronger than ever

Han, a 6-foot-11 (2.11-meter) center with a soft shooting touch and exceptional mobility, has grown into the highest-scoring Asian player in WNBA history, passing the 600-point milestone on Sept 20 by contributing seven points in Liberty's 106-69 rout of Toronto Tempo.
A partnership extension signed by the CBA and NBA during the league's China Games tour last October ensured that more Chinese basketball talent will find their way to US shores thanks to new collaborative projects, such as inviting Chinese national squads to train and compete in the NBA Summer League and preseason WNBA games, as well as offering young Chinese prospects the chance to train at the NBA Academy and NBA G League tryout camps.
