Wang Shun looks beyond the finish line at Asian Games

After securing one gold and two bronze medals at the 2026 Nagoya Asian Games, Chinese swimmer Wang Shun joined China Daily for an exclusive interview. From making his Asian Games debut as a 16-year-old to embarking on his fifth Asian Games journey at 32, Wang describes his swimming career as a long odyssey of reaching "the stars through hardships." Speaking on the rapid rise of China's new generation of swimmers, he shared how he interacts with and encourages his younger teammates.
