Xi says building a constructive China-US relationship of strategic stability not an expedient measure

WASHINGTON -- Building a constructive China-US relationship of strategic stability is neither an expedient measure nor something that can be achieved overnight, Chinese President Xi Jinping said on Thursday.

In his talks with US President Donald Trump at the White House, Xi said that departments, sectors and levels of both countries should all get involved.

The two sides should not refrain from doing a good deed because it is too small, nor commit a bad deed because it is too small, and should implement the consensus reached by both sides with the spirit of driving the nail, Xi said.
