Xi urges more contact between Chinese, US govt departments

WASHINGTON -- President Xi Jinping on Thursday urged government departments in China and the United States to strengthen contact.

Addressing a welcoming ceremony at the White House, Xi said he and US President Donald Trump encourage government departments, such as those in charge of foreign affairs, economic matters, financial cooperation, law enforcement and people-to-people exchanges, to catch up on strengthening contact.
