Tour of Shanghai New Cities 2026 concludes, draws praise from participants

The Tour of Shanghai New Cities 2026 cycling race concluded in Nanhui, Pudong New Area on Sunday, wrapping up three days of competition that drew 122 riders from 21 top professional teams across 12 countries over a nearly 300-kilometer route through Jiading, Qingpu, Songjiang, Fengxian, and Nanhui.
As a UCI 2.2 event — the first men's road cycling race in Shanghai included in the UCI Asia Tour — this year's edition delivered elevated competitive quality.
Manuele Tarozzi of Italy's Bardiani CSF 7 Saber claimed the general individual title and the ruby jersey with consistent performances across all three stages. Jesper Rasch took stage 3 victory and topped the sprint standings with 34 points to earn the green jersey.
