Death toll rises following Jiangxi landslides

The death toll from a series of landslides in Suichuan county, Ji'an, Jiangxi province, has risen to four, Xinhua News Agency reported Sunday afternoon, citing local authorities.

One of the people previously reported missing has been found with no vital signs following a landslide in Yangfen village, Zuo'an township, the report said. China Central Television had previously reported that two people were missing following multiple landslides in Yangfen.

In Mingkeng village, Gaoping township, mudslides and landslides have left three people dead and nine others missing, Xinhua reported.

Multiple rescue teams and personnel are continuing search and rescue operations at the sites.
