China launches new academic journal for open sharing of scientific research data
BEIJING -- The Institute of Automation under the Chinese Academy of Sciences recently launched an international academic journal titled Data Research and Applications (DRA), which is dedicated to the open sharing of scientific research data.
Data journals are of great significance in promoting the open sharing of scientific data, improving data governance and invigorating new paradigms in scientific research. This new journal has been established to provide a high-level interdisciplinary, open access and peer-reviewed academic exchange platform for researchers worldwide, said the institute.
The journal features six sections: data papers, model papers, research papers, reviews, data and model updates, as well as news opinions and comments.
Its scope spans multiple disciplines, including computer science, mathematics, statistics and medicine, encompassing the complete lifecycle of research output from generation to publication and iterative updates.
According to the institute, Data Research and Applications is a journal committed to building a complete chain linking data, research, application and governance, so as to promote the global open sharing of high-quality data resources.
The inaugural editorial board of this new journal brings together authoritative experts from over 20 renowned universities and research institutions worldwide, the institute noted.
