Residents safely relocated after mudslide

A mudslide, which occurred on the Nepalese side on Wednesday, struck a border port in Xizang and inflicted heavy casualties. As of the evening of Aug 27, a total of 499 residents — including 180 from Goba village, 40 from Sichung village, 107 from Lapher village, 55 from Lorjang village, and 88 from Trongse village — as well as 29 excavation crew members, have been safely relocated.
