5.5-magnitude earthquake hits waters off Taiwan: CENC

BEIJING -- A 5.5-magnitude earthquake jolted waters off Taitung county in Taiwan at 3 pm on Tuesday (Beijing Time), according to the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).
The epicenter was monitored at 22.61 degrees north latitude and 121.63 degrees east longitude. The earthquake struck at a depth of 10 km, the center said.
