Shanxi's first restaurant operated entirely by robots recently opened in Taiyuan, with robots completing orders, cooking, and clearing tables.
At Weikong Robot Restaurant, consumers only need to scan a QR code on their mobile phones to place an order, which is synced to the central control system in the kitchen. Robots then independently fetch ingredients, set the temperature control, and stir-fry the meals.
The system measures ingredients precisely, and dishes are ready to be served in merely 3-5 minutes. The kitchen's transparent windows give the diners a view of the entire process.
